OF SPECIALIZATION Richmond Relationship Counselling Services is a private practice located in the Health Sciences Center in Richmond, BC. We offer counselling and psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families. In my practice, I specialize in the following areas: · Relationship issues and couples counselling · Disability/Return to work counselling · Depression, anxiety and stress management · Medical crisis counselling, pain and chronic illness · Psychological aspects of cancer for patients and their families · Traumatic loss, grief and bereavement · Coping with terminal illness and palliative care · Issues specific to women, i.e. sexual identity, assertiveness, fertility, menopause, eating disorders and self-injury · Training in relaxation, self-hypnosis and visualization In my counselling work, I start with the belief that we all have within ourselves the resources and strengths we need to deal with life’s challenges. I begin by creating a supportive, constructive, and collaborative working relationship with my clients, and encourage them to find ways of connecting with their own inner strength and wisdom. Rather than taking the role of expert, I see myself as a facilitator of growth, a guide and a partner along the road to wellness.
